Bruce Springsteen opens tour in San Jose...April 02. 2009



Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band began their "Working on a Dream" Tour at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif. on Wednesday night.
It was a 26-song show, beginning at 8:33 p.m. local time with "Badlands" and ending at 11:12 p.m. with "American Land."
Bruce once again took sign requests, just like he did on the "Magic" Tour last year. The two requests played were "Growin' Up" and "Waiting on a Sunny Day."
It was a similar setlist to what Bruce and the band played at the two rehearsal shows in Asbury Park last week although there were some surprises including "Good Rockin' Tonight" (recorded by Elvis Presley in 1954).

Six songs were played from the new album: "Outlaw Pete," "My Lucky Day," "Working on A Dream," "Good Eye," "The Wrestler," and "Kingdom of Days".
Patti Scialfa, who only played a handful on shows with the band in 2008, was at the show.
